I am a writer, reader, author, and publisher. I am a mother of two, mostly grown, children and a wife (second time around). My present paying job is as a physical Therapist managing a PT clinic. I am jumping into the world of blogging because I’ve found – as the wordy person I am, at least on ”paper” - twitter and facebook don’t allow me to pontificate to my heart’s desire.
I started writing in college (a while ago!) and haven’t stopped since. For a reason I don’t really know, round about 2003 I decided I wanted to write a novel. Up to that point I had been writing short children’s storys, but never pursued publication. I’m a history buff so I decided to write in the historic fiction genre to start; the research is almost as fun for me at the writing. In March of 2008 “Rosebloom” was born.(www.ckbookspublishing.com). And as any writer can tell you, it was a birth! It was perhaps a bit more for me since I self published the work, which isn’t particularly hard, but just takes a lot of time. (I didn’t use on online method but went through a brick and mortor printer as I am doing for book II).
Now I’m done with book II in the series – “A Burnished Rose” – and I’m busy on the screenplay and a memoir for a friend who is a recovering addict and alcoholic. I’m learning a lot and having the time of my life! Won’t you join me?

Christine, this is pretty cool! I have never commented on a blog site before, and barely ever read blogs, but will give it a try.
How’s the cover color coming along?
I’ve only commented on a blog a couple times myself. It’s all new to me.
I just got the second proof back of the cover. The color’s better but it’s a bit dark. I might go with it anyway, because I’m running out of time. I have to have the books by the end of the month of a reading event I’m doing for 25-30 people! eek!
P.S. I think the date and time of my comment are ahead by about 5 hours! I was not blogging at 1:51 AM. Although if I sleep as badly as I did last night, I just might.
Thanks Jane. There is a feature that you set the time, but I must have gotten that wrong. Setting this all up is quite the learning process, and there is a lot to do, though they make it pretty ease. I’ll try and correct it!
