I have an affinity for birds especially their feather, but also I think they are such cool creatures. I live in the country so I come across shed feathers in my rambles or from birds that hit the large windows in our house. Their feathers are so amazing – the design, the color, the texture… Who doesn’t wish they could fly like a bird – well, I guess someone who is afraid of heights, but that is not me. So when I saw this, I had to keep it. I picked up this wonderful photo from Jeffery Foltices photonatureblog.
This is an amazing photograph! The color, the setting, the reeds in the water, the heron… I could see this done in oils. Nice job Jeffery.
I love the colors in this shot, both on the butterfly and surrounding it. You feel like you could reach out and touch it. And such intricate design in such a small creature. It’s inspiring!
If you’ve followed this blog for any length of time, you know I like flowers. With snow flying and the sky white-gray, I had to share this photograph by Jeffery Foltice from his photonatureblog. Thanks for the taste of summer, Jeffery!
